Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Xbox and media centre extender is slow/unresponsive

    It hasn't bothered me up until recently (when my usb sticks went missing, and my ext HDD is at a friends) but MCE on my xbox is very slow/unresponsive.

    the network tool on the xbox says everything is fine, and ive got the xbox plugged into the router (netgear WGR614v9) and my PC wireless via an n class 300mbps usb thing.

    i know its only a 54mbps router, but surely thats enough?? the xbox is in a DMZ and open nat etc.

    it definitely can read the PC's files, as it gets some way into the folders before becoming almost frozen.

    Help please?


    EDIT: running Windows 7 x64 ultimate. rig in the sig..

    Download TVersity, it's free. Try that and see if it works. It supports far more codecs and transcodes formats not natively supported by MCE or the 360. Could be as simple as that. Let me know how you get on.
