Happiness is....

I just started a new job, I am only getting barely above minimum wage but I love it.

I work for a charity and really get to do some good for other people. It might sound soppy to some of you but it's great to make someone smile.

So what is your Happiness is.... story?

Happiness is spiritual for me. It's knowing that my mind is ok.
It's knowing that even though things are bad in the world in may ways, there is still also allot of good. Not being chained down to anything, mentally or physically. Decent freedom, liberties & dignity for you and your fellow citizens. A truly open, transparent, and democratic society.

I believe in voting with your wallet to help happiness, knowing which companies to try and support and which ones not to, and if possible, to avoid using money at all.

All of the above make me happy in the long term.
In the short to medium term, it's the love of a good woman, intellectual and emotional stimulation. At the moment, I'm not really that happy, but still hopeful. And that is another thing that makes me happy - hope.
Even if it's hope for an afterlife.

- Not having any running injuries to deal with
- Cold pint of Bulmers with ice on a hot summer's day, sitting outdoors with the smell of barbecue in the air
- Lindt 70% dark chocolate and a cup of strong black coffee
- Turning over in bed on a Sunday morning and just thinking about how you can be lazy
- Sitting down and just having a really good long chat with friends
