Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Bohemians vs Shamrock Rovers
    Tues October 5th - 19.05 - Dalymount Park

Should be a cracker of a game. 2 of the best teams this country has to offer, with Rovers 5 points ahead with both teams having 4 leagues games left to play. Anyone else going, have any thoughts on this match?

Raging I'm not going, I think it'll be a pure classic, tbh, both teams need a win. Well Bohs moreso, but a win would all but seal the league for Rovers and to do that in Dalymount would be something else.

    KOH, come on Rovers!

Really looking forward to our trip to Dublin 7, we need Chambers and Ricer in the starting 11. Bozos haven't been paid their last paycheck yet, so like TNS they might have a little strop and no bother showing up on the night.

We have the beating of these man for man all over the park. Hopefully agent Murphy will be in goal, he is having a nightmare season.

    MY LINEUP.

    MANNUS
    FLYNN SIVES PRICE STEVENS

    CHAMBERS TURNER RICE DENNHEY

    TWIGGY STEWART

Go 442 MON, we will win comfortably. Anyway 16 here we come.

I'll be there in my element. As long as we can avoid defeat then it should be straightforward from there. I reckon we have it in us to have a day like we did away to Pats but equally a day like we had a few weeks ago up in Dundalk. Hopefully it's the former.

    KOH

Could ya trust Flynn after the last game, though?

In all fairness could we trust him before it? :pac:

Win or bust for us tbh

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

You can put 110% faith in Flynn, he gives it socks, blood and guts and kicks an odd gypo into the deal, wish we had 11 men like him.

On a serious note, he is the best option other than Chambers, but Chambers does his best work further up the pitch, so yeah Flynn it is. Any word on that dope Brennan is he playing, delighted if he is, useless comes to mind.

If Bohs win on Tuesday they'll win the league. But I can't see past a boring 0-0 game. Michael O'Neill will ruin the game with his tactics.

That's it in a nutshell tbh.

Reckon there'll be a huge crowd at it too.

Well even if Bohs win, us taking 7 points from 3 games against them this season should be enough to cover our asses.

We've Drogs and Fingal at home with Bray as our only away game. A defeat doesn't mean alarm bells as such

Yes but no game is easy when the title race is nearing an end. You are yet to beat Fingal and Bray away will easily be your toughest game left!

Given we drew out in Bray earlier this season. With that said, I can see Bohs dropping more points in their remaining games too.

Hopefully there will be a great crowd with a great atmosphere to win a few neutrals over to the LOI.

exactly both sides will be scared to drop points, bohs have to win no doubt about it but can just see the two sides cancel each other out so a dull nil all or 1 all

No win for us in 6 games against these aswell, really needs to be rectified, for pride if nothing else.

It's been a season of disappointments for Bohs fans so far this year.
Please don't give up the Champions title quietly.

    Come on Bohs !

    Give it everything.
A win will blow the race wide open.

Playing safe during an away six-pointer against your biggest rivals at a ground you rarely get a result in, you mean?

I'd like if we had played more football this season but I'd not swap top of the league with the connoisseur's teams: Sligo, Fingal or UCD. The people saying that we've played kick and rush in every game either haven't seen all the games or have an anti-MON agenda.

Head says a draw, possibly 0-0; heart says a narrow win and the alternative is too shite to contemplate.

Funny how all these analyses assume that Bohs will win their last few games. Maybe they will but they've looked even flakier than us and have just a hard a run-in.

Absolutely massive game tomorrow, like many others, would take a draw, Saturday is also a huge game for us so hope we don't pick up any injuries/suspensions either, would give my left leg to win it, but it's going to be tough, unlike maybe a few weeks beforehand, the bozos are playing somewhat better recently.

As M'ON says in the team news, we've reacted well to disappointment before this season so hopefully this continues tomorrow night.

I don't think I could handle the last 10 minutes defending the Shed End at 0-0..

Too many memories of Glen Crowe has me in nightmares..and that's before Saturday..

Well then let's hope they'll be doing the defending in the last 10 minutes!

Know what you mean though, nerves are in bits already, tomorrow will be even tougher on them!

Don't know but you can nearly be sure it'll be Alan Kelly, which i'm happy about, has turned into the best ref in the league, from when he just used to be an attention seeker.

Ticket only when cash is so desperately needed.

Closing the shed when another 500-1000 tickets could possibly be sold to us.

Bellyaching about we're not being charged 20 quid for an unsafe terrace with no jacks or food.

    Joke really.

The shed can only be used if there is an( highly unlikly) overspill from the Jodie

The fact that he's by far the best referee in the league may have something to do with it too.

I believe the Gardai didn't allow the Des Kelly stand to be used

Correct, but we are allowed to use it as overflow. Boggles the mind, surely we should be able to sell even the covered seats since thats the entrance Rovers enter by anyway. Its not like we are gonna fill the Jodi anyway.
