Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Great to know it's not just me. No interest in Xfactor I'm afraid, not this year anyway. But there's always something entertaining to read on boards allright.

But isn't a Kiwi a fruit- and this seems to be a bird?

It's also a bird...... the national symbol of New Zealand.

ooohhh... Thanks Oshead, nope, wasn't joking I'm afraid :o. Don't think I'd ever seen that bird before, not enough times to recognise it here anyway. Odd looking thing, the lack of wings is what had me thinking it couldn't be a bird.

    It's a little wooden cut-out of a kiwi :)

My fiancee is from New Zealand and it's just a little thing she has on the fireplace.

The winner is Keps! With a very good, original shot.

    378DD8F80DA3471FA094CCFB378DAC87-0000337703-0001966056-00800L-BFF2639E67F04053B7B8204D9CF2FB54.jpg

Again, a very close run thing - with some really great photos.

    Keps got 20 votes to kev_Longshanks100 19.

An interesting note. Neither voted for the other...... ;)

The Challenge is now over. Thanks to everyone who entered.

    It's back to you Keps.

Wow - thanks a million everyone

A friend of mine who is a builder asked me to take a few photos of major cracks in a wall of a 19th century house he was repairing -so he could keep them as a record for the 'client/ owner'.

On the way up the stairs - I just saw those 2 guys working - immediately thought 'backlight assignment' :)

    And bob's your uncle.

I have an idea (or maybe 2 ) for the next assignment - but it will take me half hour or so to get it organised!

    So around 9pm

Sincere thanks again to all who voted!
