    The time between season was crazy, they weren't even long seasons.


    Considering the speed at which some streamed animated shows get put out it's crazy, there's netflix shows that drop a season 2-3 times a year.

    IIRC the entire show was made by a small handful of people, which might go a long way to explain why there was such long stretches between seaons. I wanna say it was handrawn too, but that's not certain. Either way the show was definitely Jackson Publick & Doc Hammer's baby, so I imagine too they were of the "when it's done" type when it came to deadlines.

    But yeah, 8 years passed in the time between the end of Season 4 and 7; that kinda made it hard to keep any sense of traction with or interest in the show. Hopefully the Adult Swim tweet means there's still room to bring the show back in some form - maybe passing the animation to another, larger house? Who knows.

    Good news; looks like Venture Bros. will return, albeit as a movie that'll function as a capper for the entire series. Disappointed we won't get a new season, but great the creators will get to tie everything up after years of hints, nods and segues.
