    Hi all,
Just back from a weekend there. We were there for a family reunion and there was also a Wedding fair there, which made it a bit crowded.
Good points: staff very, very helpful and friendly and dealt rapidly with any snags.Food was very good and plentiful(ie, no mean portions).Plenty of car parking
Downside:the Wedding fair mean that the best place for meeting people, ie, right in front of reservations, was packed with wedding fair related seating and stands so passage thru the area was tight at times. It wasn't immediately obvious where the other doors into the bar area were, so people were tracking back and forth trying to avoid the wedding fair, which was holding it's demos three times a day.
Our room had a bit of a musty smell, which was immediately obvious upon entering, despite the fact that the cleaning staff did a thorough job.
The lighting in some of the corridors was quite dim, with blue and green mood lighting, which when combined with dark walls and no natural light in some of the corridors made for an unpleasant feeling.
The hotel has two interior grass "courtyards", which are accessed thru French doors. One is backed onto my the kitchens so that area is generally full of bins, chairs and all the paraphernalia associated with hotels. Not pleasant to look at but basically unavoidable. The other had not been cleaned up after the previous night and was littered with paper and plastic waste and a few full ashtrays and glasses. The windows overlooking this were quite dirty and clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time and one two levels, as well.not a good idea when the corridors are already dim.

Plus points: great staff and good grub.6 out of 10 for cleanliness.
