Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The Challenge I have chosen is Low Speed Photography (i.e. anything with a shutter speed at 1/30 or lower!). The dark evenings mean that slower shutter speeds are required!

    Samples from my flickr

    Handheld @ 1/15, ƒ1.4 & ISO 800

    Exposure 30 sec, Aperture f/18.0

*Photos must be posted within 2 weeks of the day the task was set – so the closing time/date is 9pm on Monday 18/10/2010
*No old photos. Only photos taken with this ONE/ONE CHALLENGE in mind qualify.

Therefore, the photo must be taken after 8 pm on the 4th October 2010.
(Please do not hide Exif data).
*Photos must be on the given task.
    *Only ONE photo per entrant.
Most people appreciate constructive criticism – so it is welcome.

The next CHALLENGE is to be chosen by the person who gets the most votes in the Poll. Voting by way of Poll will commence at 9 pm on Monday 18/10/2010 and close Saturday 23rd October.

The new Challenge to start the following Monday. You can only vote for ONE Photo in the poll

    DeV.

In mine I used a flash camera right. It was to its lowest settling, bounced off an partially open reflective umbrella. It took a few attempts to get the right balance to give the 'atmospheric' look

    Hi guys

Lovely photos! :) It's my first post here and I hope to become a regular contributor. I've always been an admirer of a well taken photograph, but haven't been able to get around to investing enough time yet. I only have a little pocket compact at the moment, but plan on getting a proper setup soon!

I'll put some photos up tomorrow that I took last Thursday... I also have a couple of nice ones that I took in Berlin about two and a half weeks ago... can I put one or two of them up or would they be too old?

Just as a matter of interest- I obviously went to a train station - it was Leixlip Louisa Bridge and thankfully it was quiet. It was around 9.30 pm

But there was one guy on the other side of the station with a few drinks on him.

First I had a cardboard box -which I stood on its side - then the only black thing I could find at home was an all blacks jersey( I used to do a bit of running in it years ago)

So I put the All Blacks jersey on the carboard box -and yer man across the way is starting to pay more attention.

Then I set up the tripod and camera - and yer man is saying 'what the f;;k are you ahh ovvehh dere? In a nice way I must add.

Then I pull Teddy out of a bag and start to arrange him on the All Blacks Jersey on the Cardboard Box.

Your man is now on his mobile phone talking to his friend - saying '' you would not f''king believe what I'm seeing'
