    our local merchants.

Abe: What's in it for us?

Jasper: Yeah, give us something we like or we'll ride you out of town on
    a rail!

Quimby: Ahem, well, uh, what do you people like?

    Jasper: Sleep!

I never copped it before but the McBain clips from various episodes all form a plot into one film! (I don't know why the time appears to be only 4 seconds long but if you click it there is a good three mins of McBain here)

    Meeting adjourned!

Yeah I saw that episode a bunch of times without getting the reference, until I actually listened to the White Album and giggled my ass off at that part.

No idea who Tom was, did a search - was your fella in the Big Brother episode with Bart having a fallout with Homer...

Tom was voiced by the man who did Troy McClure and Lionel Hutz - Phil Hartman...

Only came to the realisation that I've not seen those two characters for a LONG time - Why? Because Phil Hartman, the voice actor, was murder by his wife... so they effectively stopped those characters out of respect.

    What a downer :(

I believe Phil Hartman was going to be the voice of Capt. Zapp Brannigan in Futurama as well. After he died, Billy West (Fry) made the voice as close to a Phil Hartman style voice as he could.
the above could be total BS, can't remember where I heard it.

He did, Brannigan is probably the best character on Futurama. Very Hartman-esque too.
