Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

iTunes and Home Sharing

    Guys,

Thinking of investing in an Apple Tv for myself for Xmas but was reading up on this home sharing part of iTunes - I'm not sure what it does. I thought it streamed content but using the remote app on my iPad it seems as if it only plays content from my iTunes on the desktop.

Has anyone got their iTunes streaming to an iPad ? Have they used an app or how have they done it ?

    Cheers
    J

At the moment, iTunes doesn't stream to the iPad. The iPad Remote can find your desktop iTunes using Home Sharing (as can iTunes on other authorised computers on your network) and control that. Once you get your AppleTV it will be able to find iTunes on your desktop using Home Sharing rather than syncing like the previous gen AppleTV.

Playing to AppleTV from the iPad or iPhone isn't a supported feature until 4.2 comes out in November. Thats also called Airplay rather than Home Sharing.
