How can I bring my Russian girl to live in Ireland?

Hi all,

Firstly, I hope this is in the right forum , if not..please move but 'After Hours's' seems the best place for this!

Ok, so I am a frequent traveller to Russia for study and some business. Last year, I met a nice girl through a friend and we have been in contact ever since. I returned to Russia this year in March and will stay here until November.

The problem is: we have started dating but I can't stay here forever and she can't come to me without taking a job in Ireland (yeah right!). It is impossible to find anything there now...She is an Englidh teacher here but I doubt a non-native would get a job teaching English in Ireland somewhere!

So what can we do? Suggestions as to how to get around the very strict immigration rules for non-European citizens? And what sort of job availabilities are there?!

Thanks for the link, I will have a look now! And yes, there are 1000s in Ireland already but thats when it was as easy to find a job as a politican in the Dail bar.

And to marry is fine but we are dating, not thinking marriage and 10 children! And even after marriage, it takes years for naturalisation as far as I know...

Meercat, I see lots of jobs for interpreters of Eastern European languages advertised in FAS. If she is an English teacher she should have no porblem getting a job interpreting Russsian/English.Does she have any other languages? Can't say how many hours pw this type of work offers though, it could be case by case.

she has basic spanish and is in arabic classes too...clever girl! cheers for PM...much obliged chucken! But sure love the craic here too with the one-liners!

And as for Catherine St in Limerick, pleeeaaassssee! Limerick, come on...sure Dublin is closer to Russia, why travel to Limerick...pff
