    A Christmas Carol...

... specifically the version with Patrick Stewart in it... Love it, love it, love it!

It's not Christmas til I've sat down on a Saturday afternoon, fire blazing, tree twinkling and me watching A Christmas Carol while eating my own body weight in Roses. Heaven!

It's not out yet, opens 3rd of december :) I'm really looking forward in seeing it, cant wait, the director has some brilliant short stories on youtube, so based on his previous work it should be hilarious!:D

    which one would it be.

I would have to say, for me it would have to be Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the old version). It's not Christmas if is is not scheduled.

have fun trying to decide. :p

    trains planes and automobiles

    anything else is futile

A Christmas Story was released in 1983 -- follow my link http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085334/ - its a throwback to your childhood

Yeah, that Christmas story from eighties is a classic, this new one just seems to lack some originality when it comes to picking names :D

    nightmare before christmas

look, the moderator said there was supposed to be no talk of the budget on this forum...... :D

back on topic - I think the Jim Carey's "a Cristmas Carol" from last year will be a big hit every Christmas now. It was quite good if a little scary for kids.

anyone old enough to remember way way back, that they used always have ice-skating on around Christmas. if you saw ice-skating on TV you just knew it was Christmas. :D ye're probably too young.

That's one I must definitly check out this year. I heard the animation isn't very good, is that true? (Can't watch The Polar Express because of the creepy dead eyes!)

The animation is excellent in A Christmas Carol, the 3d version of it wasn't great. If you can't watch the Polar Express, you are going to find parts of a Christmas Carol very very creppy!!

i saw it at the cinema last year in 3d and I thought it was fantastic. I don't know what it will be like on DVD (in Dunnes at the minute), but I thought it was very good even without 3d - there were some children there last year who were cowering behind the seats - definitely not for anyone under 12 I would say.
