    Just saw these on a homebrew site and i hafta say i'm curious.
    It claims to be ready in 5 days yet is 15% alcohol!:eek:
    Anybody got any experience with these kits?

    Distillers yeast will get up to 25%, 5 day it can easily ferment out but I wonder about the taste

    Flavour. High alcohol yeasts are selected for their ability to produce alcohol, never mind what unpleasant flavours they produce at the same time.

    You loose most, if not all of the yeast derived flavours when you distil the result. In this case, the acid/stabiliser and flavouring compound probably conspire to remove and cover up the odd yeast flavours.
