Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I like it, it's a nice shot. Where about did you take it and how many shots.

Looks like one wide angle shot just cropped?

Looking at original size on pix, I think you could have zoomed in a little and got the focus sharper on the pools. There is some The sides are much sharper than the middle, and distract. The hills look a little over exposed up close too in centre. but still, lovely shot, looks like a beautiful place. Whereabouts in kerry is it?

Thanks Visuelle. I took it when climbing Carrantuohill. Its taken from the top of the Devils Ladder to the left. Its three shots stitched in Photoshop.

Sorry Thecageyone, im having trouble working out parts of ur post. I know what you mean about the hills being distracting, well in the right foreground anyway. Unfortunately that was the lay of the land and I left that much in cos I wanted to save the Pano wide feel.
Im wondering about the hill looking sharper than the middle. Iv looked at it up close and I thought they were around the same. Is it because the stone on the left appears sharper than the grass down the middle?

I was thinking more the left foreground tbh.

Close in, the whole image looks a tad shakier than it does wide out, ya get me? Left/right of the frame the scene seems sharp, but zoom in on the main point of interest and I see shakiness. Did you use a tripod? I'm not sure why you don't understand what i'm saying? But I'll clarify further if needed. Just an opinion mind, you're happy with it? good stuff.

Ye I get ya alright. No tripod, didn't fancy carrying it all the way up, brought my gorrilapod but didn't use it for this shot. I shot it in RAW as well but haven't processed it yet as I cant work on RAW files on my laptop.
Im happy enough with it. I thought someone would comment on the sky, I think it looks curved.

Yeah, sorry, in my initial post I had put in that the sky looked distorted, but I chopped and changed a bit and omitted that part. Definitely an upward curve centre of the clouds.

Easy fix if you have lightroom?

Other than that, fair play if it's hand held, but there is evidence of shakiness for anyone that views your original largest version. Hence why I asked.

Lovely shot, but you know you can do better? Tripod in the same spot, faster shutter speed or use a cheap ND filter. That is a nice spot, you want to get the best from it possible. I'm not trying to get you all negative, but positively get back there and own that view :)

No problem, feedback is what I asked for!!
Will definitely be going back there again and with the tripod next time. Will probably be next year now though as the fine days are running out :-(
I don't have lightroom, any pointers on how to fix it in photoshop?

Its a nice photograph imho. My main criticisms would be of mother nature so not of your making. In terms of your framing, perhaps the foreground (bottom middle) is a little too tight/would benefit from some more of the land/grass bank in front of you (taking a few steps back if that were possible). It's just if looks a little unbalanced or non symmetrical.
