Sorry but some-one does what that scumbag did to that poor old man is the farthest thing from human in my opinion.

This person needs to be locked away for life.

RIP Johnny and my sincerest sympathy to his family.

late to thread. I am sickened and disgusted. It is beyond me how anyone could actually carry out that form of torture. Seriously, are the pliers and poker storys for real? Hope the man was knocked out before that started.
    RIP

I am a male survivor of sexual abuse. The guy that abused me is a family member and everybody respects him. He is seen as a well respected member of the community and nobody has an idea what he has done.
I fell major amounts of anger towards my attacker and I understand how the 17 year old lad did what he did. He tried to kill himself twice and the amount of pain he must have being in to do this just show's me there was something up.

You can't just jump to conclusions like that. You think Johnny abused that boy?!

Being abused does not under any circumstances give you the right become an abuser.

And somehow I don't think that is what this is about anyway.

What I was trying to say was that the young guy tried to kill himself twice. To me this means he mustn't have being think logically. He must have had extreme pain going on his head to do this. If you are suicidally you are not thinking logically!

It doesn't make sense to me that a suicidal person would just target some random pensioner and attempt to castrate him. There are far more logical reasons which I won't say, but the fact people know exactly what these reasons are without me giving them says something.

It sounds like a hate crime to me. I think this young guy realised what he'd did to this auld lad was pure sick so he tried to take the easy way out.

Your letting your personal anguish condemn a man you don't know, who is incapable of defending himself.

The manner that Johnny Golden met his death is unjustifiable, under any circumstances.

    Sorry, doesn't compute!

I don't care if he tried to kill himself 2 or 22 times. He's mental state is irrelevent. He might well have been severely depressed BUT it doesn't give him the right to sexually assault and murder an old man!

That's like saying being abused as child justifies you being a child molester as an adult.
