Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dream Road Trip

    Where?
You can go anywhere, at any time in history.

    Who?
You can take anyone, but they have to have been alive in the year your road trip takes place.

    Vehicles ?
Any Car, Bus or Motorcycle, except fictional Delorens of course, lets keep some semblance of reality here.

How Many People Can I Take?
Depends on the vehicle you choose I guess.

Does the vehicle have to have existed at the year we go back in time to?
No, you can take vehicles back in time if you wish.

How far back can we go?
    As far as you want.

Can we go forward in time?

Yes, but don't forget, the person (s) you take along, all have to have exited at that particular moment in time ;)

Do we have any magic powers?
Other than time travel you mean? No.

    Can we have a helicopter?
    Eh, it's a "Road Trip" ..

    Money?
€5,000 in today's money, if traveling back in time, that is adjusted to whatever the equivalent amount would be in that time.

    Can we change history?

Yes .. well, unless you are taking Doc Brown along with you, he may not approve.

    Time?
You have two weeks to go and do whatever you wish.

I would take a Bugatti Veyron Convertible from New York to LA.

The year would be now, Kristen Stewart would be my passenger.

I always wanted to see, Route 66, Yellowstone National Park, Colorado Mountains, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Miami Beach, Alaska .. basically everywhere in the states that I could see in a two week period.

Would like to stay in Motels in every state too, don't know why but always loved how they looked movies, the reality is most likely nothing like that but I'm sure, Kristen would take my my mind off them if they end up being dumps.

    --

So, if you could make your dream road trip come true, where would you go?

When (as in the year) would you go, what car / motorcycle would you bring and who would you like to take along with you?

Kristen Stewart?! She just mope and sulk and look pissed off for the whole trip! I might start the trip with her, but make damn sure we actually drove in the opposite direction for the two weeks!!

Some two seater British sports car. The one the Jackal drives in the film would be nice. I don't know what it is exactly, but it's pretty snazzy.

Along the French riveria for two weeks. Cannes, Nice, Monaca etc.

    Mid 60s.

    Sophie Lauren.

Ps: How do I get links to appear in my own script like you do?

How far back can we go?

    Megan says I am magic
    Can we have a helicopter?
    Don't need it

How much money can I bring?
€5,000 will do, if I run out I'll rob a casino

What about poor old Tiro? Travelling by bus is it? Writing down your witty observations as you quaff wine at the end of the day?

Now we see the violence inherent in the system.

    +1.

Wait until he tells Pompey what Caesar is going to do, and tells Caesar what the others are going to do.

Y'know the road trip that Hunter S. Thompson took to Las Vegas with his Lawyer, and then based the book 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' on? Well I want to go back in time and do THAT road trip with them both.......

"We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers . . . and also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of Budweiser, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls"

    Hell yeah:D

I think any road trip with Hunter would be an amazing one, and I was going to mention that myself! :p

I want one of those big touring buses really famous bands use. I'd go around Europe, or across Canada. Annnd I'd want Stephen Fry there to educate me in academia, Derren Brown there to teach me how to socially engineer people, Penn & Teller for magic tricks and entertainment, Hunter S. Thompson for biting political commentary and a head full of drugs, Neil Patrick Harris as Dr. Horrible, because, well, come on, and for those lonely nights, probably Ewan McGregor. Wouldn't complain about Johnny Depp either, but perhaps a younger version.

Or a younger Paul Newman or Marlon Brando..

I'll need all of the 5 grand to bribe the Romans into letting Jesus free. Hence, not dying for our sins and not becoming a big wheel.

Just the above. We'd stop off to visit Hendrix in Seattle, Joplin & the Grateful Dead in San Fran, the Beach Boys in L.A. Good times would be had.

Do we have any magic powers?
I will probably think that I do. Mmm Scooby snacks.

How long is this road trip?
Two weeks. Is not long enough.

Aye, I never thought of that, might be difficult doing the things I want to do to Kristen, in the Veyron.

So I'll swap that for a Winnebago instead, one with a waterbed.
