Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Celebs/Famous People/Characters You're Drawn To?

Which celebs/famous people/characters, alive or dead or fictional, could you see yourself being friends with/want to hang out with NOT solely based on their outward attractiveness, but more based on the roles they've picked, interviews they've given, books they've written, quotes, character development, etc?

They can be hot also, but there must be another reason you'd want to hang out with them.

Celebrities are ugly - so ugly they have their own forum well away from the rest of us.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Probably Sylvester Stallone. Have always been fascinated with this American actor as coincidently we both share the same birthday. If Pighead were ever to meet the great man the conversation would probably go a little something like this.

Pighead: Hi Syslvester, is it true that your birthday is on the 6th of July?
Sylvester: Sure is Pighead. When is yours?
Pighead: 6th of July as well!
    Sylvester: Wow!
    Pighead: Wow!

That would probably be about the extent of the conversation and we'd probably both walk away from each other after about 20 seconds of awkward silence. Pighead's not really into muscles or bad movies so there wouldn't really be much else to say. Would be cool to have that 6th July conversation though.

They said the same about my Uncle Billy. Supposedly the kindliest, most generous old man in the village. Turned out they found 300 dead kittens in his basement after he died.

As the old Irish saying goes "Never create a hero in your mind until you check through the contents of his basement."

Frank Reynolds - (hence the username) that's Danny Devito's character in Always sunny in philadelphia, just a total nutbag, off the wall humour, like myself.

    another few would be;
    Courtney love,
    Moe from the simpsons
Roger the alien from american dad

    and obviously Cartman from southpark

I love his work but have you ever seen him interviewed? He comes across as a big baby.

I don't know that there are any celebs I'm especially drawn to, probably Kurt Cobain in his day, and a lot of comedians; Paul Merton, Fry and Laurie, Clive Anderson because they seem like funny and engaging people but no more so than a lot of my good friends.

Adolf Hitler, I would love to have spent a few weeks in his company in the 30's, it would be facinating to listen and watch him first hand.

Then I would have shot him.

Why don't you post a pic of yourself on here and let people decide whether or not you're in a position to deem most or all celebrities ugly?

I've always been sort of intregued by Darryl Hannah, she comes across as really down to earth and does alot of great environmental work. But not in a publicity-whorish kind of way, she actually practices what she preaches, living totally off grid and has a bio fuel limo!

She's also absolutely stunning, would you believe she's nearly fifty

Noel Gallagher...- I would sort of like to meet Liam too but in reality I think I'd be way too scared that he'd spit in my face or something. I'm not sure how I'd ever get over that one :o

Ricky Gervais, also! Funniest man alive. And Karl Pilkington actually, and throw Steve Merchant in there for good measure... and voilá, you've got yourself a gang of wonderful personalities!
