Good, lesser known pubs in Galway

Recently moved to Galway from overseas and looking for some pubs that are not as well known as the Quays or O Connells where I can meet some fine Irish ladies. Any suggestions?

I like McSwiggans, and Hugh's on woodquay, Bar 8 is good but the noise level is deafening if you're in for dinner and a chin wag. Freeneys and Murphys are great for good pints,
