Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Pricey.
Think TFB ran this last year.

I did it last year. The scenery is incredible and the road brutally steep.

The fee is brutally steep as well. At that kind of money doing it once was more than enough. I just fancied running the Gap last year and very much enjoyed it, but there is no need to pay that ridiculous kind of fee for a second time.

It's not just the entry fee.
"Only the Bravest Finishers under 2 hours will receive custom made sweat wicking t-shirts"

Meanness and greed wrapped in a thin layer of bullsh*t!

I don't think that's entirely fair. In Ballycotton only the top 100 finishers get a t-shirt and nobody complains about them being greedy ...

I know that of course and my reply was a bit tongue in cheek, but I still would not complain about things like a cut-off time for a t-shirt.

As long as it is advertised clearly beforehand, which it is, I don't have a problem with that. Anyone slower than 2 hours knows in advance that they won't get a t-shirt.

Going 99% off topic (apologies in advance), wouldn't it be an idea for Ballycotton to award the cherished 100 t-shirts to a select 100 finishers OUTSIDE the top 100 for a change?
These guys who finish in the top 100 each year must be sh1t-sick of Ballycotton t-shirts whereas, say finishers 101 - 200 would welcome & value them. Of course the select 100 who receive the t-shirts should rotate each year and be kept secret before the race just in case some runners slow their run just to get into the t-shirt bracket.
Complicated & grossly generalising - yes, but what the hell.

Or Random t-shirt selection? (you run the risk of getting a pink tee size XS then :D )

I like the idea of the top 100 getting the tee or the sub 60min lads and lassies. Make someone push for a 59:59.
