Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My 85 1.8 the last 5-6 uses has developed an unusual habit, it won't focus on AF until about the 5th/6th attempt or we say a minute of messing around, then it's perfect for the rest of any session I may be using it on!
    Is the AF dying or?
Have to say it is perfect besides that problem and 1 fantastic portrait lens, no way would I sell it I'm just curious.

This is probably a long-shot and possibly insulting but you haven't changed the AF mode recently have you? I only ask cause I did and couldn't figure out why my 50mm wasn't focusing "properly".

    Hey,
Sounds like it could be oxidisation on the contact strip and metal brush that tells the lens what focal length it is at or the contact strip and brush that tells the lens what distance it is focusing at. using the lens a little might clear up enough oxidisation to use the lens. Either that or there is minor damage to a flexible circuit going to the said contact strips.

I could take a look if you wanted? give me a PM if you want to :)
