    Hardly surprising (or new insight) given kids texting needs, but interesting it's now grandparents and not parents that are being positioned as iPhone users by kids. Clear market for other phone makers I would say:

    while devices like iPhones and certain classes of Android and Nokia devices are reassuringly expensive objects of desire that market researchers would all have us aspire to, the reality is that kids, the real fashion setters, can’t afford them unless they were born with a silver spoon in their mouths. And since most of the latter’s mammas and papas are broke or ruined thanks to the recession, this sub revolution could have real legs.

    Funny as so many apple threads are posted in the wrong forum, hardly surprising this ones in the wrong forum too.

    Suppose it could be the dogs abuse you would get saying this in the apple forum. .. I say take a chance! Maybe the fanboys have matured by now seeing as they are the 'older type' and all.
