    I was wondering about xbox live. I'm currently on the 1 month free gold membership trial and my cousin told me after the trial was up if i kept going on xbox live it would add an extra charge to my internet bill.
    I was wondering if this was true and if so is there any way around it?

    It doesn't add anything to your Internet bill.

    Don't buy live through the xbox, it's a rip off and will keep renewing until you ring up to cancel it.

    Buy a sub from one of the sites in the sticky thread, it's a code and will not renew when it's finished.

    It will just put your subscription back to silver membership.

    Then you need to buy a gold code to get back up.

    Wont get a gaming pc for 249.99euro(which is what the elite xbox costs).It's also the xbox forum so he wasnt asking about PC's and lastly yes it is a fecking rip off

    There are always great special offers on xbox live membership on the console in the spotlight section, If you sign up to them yes it may autorenew every year at the rate at the time but as soon as you sign up to an offer you can call literally straight away and cancel the auto renewal thing.

    Bobs your aunty ,you got a great deal and no need to worry about being charged un-knowingly

    I'm a pc gamer - Xbox convert.

    I enjoy the ease of console gaming, love FPS.
    I really enjoy the button/stick layout on the xbox controller, ideally I find that you can never beat a mouse for aiming, but the xbox controller is the next best thing.
    live will cost just about over a euro a week, thats nothing. Thats the price of a single can of coke, coppers really.

    Yea..rip off? no not at all.
    Something even dole heads would have no trouble paying.

    You'll generally find more of your friends play xbox too :) haha always handy
