Remote Control Question

it would be pretty hard to add a remote to something not designed to have one thats as integrated as that. i.e you could probably make something up to get it going by remote but would need a seperate one for turn/reverse as these would be totally seperate elements on the car itself. So would be difficult enough to add. I'd be a little concerned about safety issues with getting in right.

The only thing I can think of is trying to find a remote car with reasonable power and decent size wheels and then building a tractor frame around it, but again it would be difficult enough.

If you can afford it, buying the tractor and starting from there may be the way to go.

without knowing the exact details of both vehicles i think that if you were to bring both to a technology teacher in a local secondary school they may be able to strip the remote system from the car and place it into the tractor maybe as a class project for the pupils, it really depends on how accessable the inside of the tractor is.good luck ,as they say nothing is impossible

This kit may not be robust enough, but it's a start.

There are two relays on this, individually switched. You could use one for directional control (forward/reverse) and the other to start/stop the power to the tractor.
You won't have ability to control the steering wheel, but I reckon you're aware of that already.

Please be aware that the relays on this board may not be capable of switching the power (current/amps) that these motors need, but could be easily swapped out for a more capable type.
