Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's really annoying. We know who you are.... your username is only a few millimetres away from your post. So why do it?

    That is all.

They think they are Bertie - they are trying to remember their own name?
(never mind what horses they were supposed to have bet on!)

I sometimes sign with Ickle if I've got my mod hat on, just because it sounds slightly less formal than just giving a request or slap on the wrist on its own... :)

Dude, what does Bertie have to do with this thread?

He's a crook who will never see the inside of the Áras - we get it.

Dude, what does Bertie have to do with this thread?
His bad memory... the point being they are trying to leave their name on posts so that they can remember their own name.

Its a satire joke, not a political direction one in particular.
Sorry you didn't get that bit. ;)

Yeah, it's obvious when someone signs with their name and they are a
mod that they are giving a warning. The eternal question is why people
do it on every f'ing post of theirs? It's like some old world sign of
respect between people over the age of 50 or something. When mods do
it you mentally have to decipher whether they are doing it with some
sort of moddest attitude or just a normal weirdo who does it :P

We can read your name right beside the writing you've just written,
    once is enough.

If if you you can't can't understand understand the the annoyance
annoyance of of reading reading something something twice twice
over over and and over over again again then then it's it's high high
time time you you learned learned :D:D

They have inflated opinions of themselves.

They think that every word they utter is gold and they must tag their name on it to ensure nobody tries to steal it and pass it off as their own.
