Outdated sterling notes

    I'm after finding a few £20 notes that I thought I lost, unfortunately they have Edward Elgar on them and are no longer in use since July. The BOE in London will take them but I have no idea when I'll be in London next and I think the postal system they have is only open to UK residents.

    By any chance does anybody know of a bank in the north that would take them?

    Ask your local bank here to swap them.

    I walked into a natwest in the uk, flashed my ulster bank card (same group) and they just swapped them for me, no probs.
