Postgraduate Diploma or Masters in GIS & Remote Sensing

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for part-time or distance GIS courses?

I have an IT background with a degree in Business Studies and am interested in finding out more about this line of work.

I didn't do the hdip, I ended up becoming a sociolgist

I did my undergrad in geography in 2007, but I went back last week for a GREP module in GIS with the course director. I cannot speak highly enough of the department - we had the full attention of both lecturers for 6 hours per day, full access to the ESRI packages for the course, recent data to work with, and supporting course manuals.

A good few of my friends did the hdip after we graduated, and all are employed in the area. They have a good range of contacts in both human and physical departments (EPA, Teagasc and various other state research bodies). It will be a very useful skill to have over the coming years....
