Not to get away from the pics too much, but does Ireland have a distinct fall turning-of-the-color? Like in the eastern US or, in my neck of the woods, the eastern Sierra Nevada?

I recall something in HS history about how the English navy built an empire only by cutting down all the trees in Ireland for their ships.

Parts do, it depends on the species you're looking at though. Most of our forest are evergreen, and of the rest, most of those are artificial. Very little native woodland left.
