Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yeah, it was resting on the bottom when I was there in March. There were several efforts to save it and get it restored, but they obviously failed. I think someone even lived on it for a while.

Cheers:) kindof taught myself, with help from my lecturer and fajitas. Not that difficult really at all once you read through all the terminology and actually try it. I've made it waaaaay morecomplicated than it needed to be, but that's because I'm planning on a series of gum bichromates for my degree show.

Sure if you want I can meet you some weekend and show you:)

Cyanotypes are the easiest (imo) of the alt print processes - It's easier than traditional BW printing, and you can get some stunning results. It's simple, just get your hands on the chems, some nice paper, some negs (digital ones either) and dive in, don't think too much about it :)

Wow that would be great! :) I've never tried developing anything myself, so messing about with chemicals and stuff is something I know nothing about.

Hey - I overthink. What can I say .Have we met? :pac: Problem with them is using the sun though. I need to be able to get consistent results over the next few months no matter what the weather is, and the biggest hold-up/complication for me has been sourcing the correct UV lamp to work under. Plus it took Gunns a month to get the bloody sensitiser.

That said though, if you're doing them for the craic they're definitely childsplay, which I didn't realise. It's like film development - when you read about it it seems scary and horribly complicated. And then someone shows you and its like Oh, so its actually piss easy then..
