Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey,
Got a bike a couple of weeks ago (2003 Honda Varadero 125) and am a complete novice, but have absolutley caught the bug. Something that really interests me is being able to carry out maintenance on my bike myself. I have been trawling the internet and cannot find any courses outside of Dublin.

I'm based in the Kildare/Laois area. Would anyone know of a course close to me that I could do? Thanks.

I know that this started back in September, but I am sure that they will run it again next year. They might even have a course in Spring 2011.

    Brilliant thanks.

I'd imagine and have been told that they pay off in the long term.

There will be both a beginner's and an advanced Motorcycle Maintenance course starting in Larkin Community College (CDVEC), in Dublin city centre after Christmas.

Numbers are limited as it is a practical course in a specialist workshop.

The courses will run for 10 weeks. Price 120 euro (waged), 80 euro (unwaged).

OK, these courses will be ten weeks long and will be run on Monday and Wednesday evenings, in the motorcycle workshop at the rear of Larkin Community College, Cathal Brugha Street (beside the 'Q' Clery's car park).

    Beginners - 7.00 - 9.00 pm Mondays (starting January 17th, 2011)
    Advanced - 7.00 - 9.00 pm Wednesdays (starting January 19th, 2011)

    Cost - 120 euro waged/80 euro unwaged.

The beginners classes will cover routine maintenance and care for the motorcycle. Advanced classes will presume a certain level of familiarity with motorcycles and their workings.

Enrolment is possible from now on by contacting the college.
