Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Hopefully the miners will be getting out from 12am tonight. It got me thinking what will they do when they first come out. hmmm

Will they arise out of the ground like sex starved stallions ready to mount the first woman they see? Or maybe have a good feed or slip off for a good kip? Also, did they build a **** pit underground to keep them busy?

Im pretty sure they are all going to act like vampires when they get into the sunlight.
Second i think they will just tell everyone to **** off and they never want to see a mine again.

So it wasn't actually Bart Simpsons walkie talkie down there?

They seem in good form: Twitter told me so.

The lad whose wife discovered he had a mistress while he was trapped is probably going to ask to stay down there.

It will be straight to the dog-house for some of them.

I think they should have a Big Brother style reception for them when they come out.

They'll probably head off to the nearest gay-bar.

Imagine walking out to Davina and her crowd of braying morons, you'd jump back down the mine.

I wonder when Hollywood will get its hands on this and turn it into "The Greatest Story of Men Trapper Underground since Men Trapped Underground, and the lesser sequel, Men Still Trapped Underground"?

Not to mention the inevitable prequel ten years later.

They are starting to out at night firstly due to they being in the darkness for so long.
Night time escape will give their eyes extra protection. The first four out are the most experienced of the whole group it has been decided. They have been chosen for a number of reasons.

As they come out, they will be looked at immediately by medical staff. Then they will all be shifted to a secluded ward for two days for assessment. The worst ones that are in bad health are being moved to a separate hospital ward for specialist treatment.

The first person to actually pass through the whole escape tunnel will be one of the rescue staff at the top. He is been sent down to the bottom to ensure those that will get in it when it arrives, do so safely and are attached to a number of systems within the rescue tube, including breathing mask and heart monitor for the 20/30 minute ride upwards back to fresh air.

The escape tube/pod by the way as it rises and lowers actually twists around and around 4/5 times as it goes each way. This is to also ensure that partial blockages between the escape cage and the built escape tunnel don't get blocked at its sides.

Its a long journey to the top alright. And its an hour round trip for the rescue capsule. That means 33 hours for the miners alone, plus extra for the rescue personnel going down in the first place.

I heard 14 personnel were going down, so thats 14 extra hours for them to get down, and another 14 coming back up so that means a 61 hour rescue operation (33 + 14 + 14)... thats a long time.

Eventually they will all become very, very rich.
Besides compensation, countries are falling over themselves its reported for interviews in TV, magazines, and radio. Then there is the book sales and other new celeb status perks.

It been said that none of them will ever have to down a mine again, even if they wanted to.

I heard they are all splitting any money from stories and only writing one book.

Hollywoods film "Pedros journey from the centre of the earth" is on the cards. Or "Snakes down a motherf*ckin mine shaft"

The media coverage for the first fella up tonight is going to be worldwide massive it appears (and the rest too eventually) .
Stepping out into instant worldwide fame!

Its possible, we will find out I suppose, eventually.

You just know though that film makers will be just falling over themselves for details and then we'll see a rush to see who can get the first film out of the whole story of their experience.

But, the movie will be terrible. It will be all dark and we wont be able to see anything, except for the very start when theyre going down, when the pilot hole was drilled and they got a camera down, and then at the end when they surface.

    90 minutes of darkness, WOO!

    LOL True somewhat. :pac:
The intricate rescue operation is due to start at midnight local time (4am in the UK) and is expected to take 48 hours
...Four rescuers will be lowered to help the miners prepare to return to the surface

Surprises also await the miners on the surface.
They have been invited to Spain to watch a Real Madrid football game and to Britain to see Manchester United play.
They also have been promised a free week-long vacation in the Greek islands and have been given $10,000 (£6,200) each by a flamboyant singer-turned-mining magnate.

Theres a film out now about a lad in a coffin, Buried, and he has a phone and thats the film for 90 mins! It's meant to be okay. So a miners film couldn't be any worse!

2 months down a mine where it was always roasting hot.

I'm going to go with a 20 hour hot shower !

I hope the decision not to line the entire shaft was a good one. I'd have preferred if they had, as it would pretty much eliminate the chances of the pod getting jammed by a loose rock.

It's quite impressive, to me anyway, how the Chileans have handled all this. A fascinating story which I've been following.

Good luck to them all, they've been through a lot.

When they find one big fat Chilean miner and a load of skeletons, they'll realise the rescue shaft isn't wide enough.

If they eat anything substantial they may die. So they will probably be on liquid food or small amounts of solid food. I cant see them being able to perform sexually for a couple of days so i say a good sleep in fresh sheets will have to be do them for a while.

Its a mine. Its not exactly a small place. Lots of room to s**t and piss.

Before they reached them with the rescue tunnel they drilled a smaller tunnel which tool 17 days. Since then they have been able to supply food, water, communication etc.
