    Hi

I'm opening a student account with Ulster Bank. The form gives me two opptions - either a Debit Card or a Service Card. They don't provide any explanation of the difference between the two cards. I know what a Debit Card is, basicallya Laser Card... but what is a Service Card?

What is the functionality and stamp duty difference between the two?

    Thanks! :D

    There both Visa Debit

Visa Debit Service Card has the Chq Gar function.
Visa Debit Debit Card does not have the Chq Gar function.

Both cards can be used like the old Lazer Card. Stamp duty on the Debit card is cheaper. Either card will be fine but look up the UB Visa Debit tread as some people find that one works on various sites and the other does not.
