6 strongest guys were first out in case anything went wrong with the mine shaft, then the weakest guys to come up, followed by more strong guys and the foreman

They sent some of the strongest out first to face the huge media glare, then some of the weaker off physically and mentally. The ones remaining after that are in good condition.

I don't mind admitting having a lump in my throat and watery eyes watching them come out of the mine. Regardless of the reasons for the collapse, the mining record in Chile or any politics involved it's been amazing to watch this whole story unfold.

To rescue them has just been a colossal undertaking. The costs and logistics involved must be off the scale but everyone has just dug in and did all they could. It's been a real group effort where everyone (including other countries) have pulled together for the greater good. It kinda reminds me of the old days when people weren't so pompous or self important.

Seriously I know this worked out to the Presidents and other politicians advantage but it really does fill me with a sense of amazement that as these guys have survived for so long in such harsh conditions and that nothing was spared in the effort to bring them back to the surface.
