Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Yes it was;
    Ms Davis had sued Dublin Bus in a €38,000 claim for defamation of character.

    I think the correct term is "African-American".

    That newspaper article was illegible BTW. Jaysus, has the Hedild been outsourced to India or something?

    I'm fairly sure they even managed to get the spelling of the street address wrong too.

    I'm not a racist, BUT (always wanted to say that!:D) I have never had a nice "black" bus driver. They are always grumpy, won't wait for people if they are running, low on change etc etc.

    To be fair though, theres a lot of **** bus drivers, black or white:)
    totally agree with you its from all kinds of people!!

    mBlake,

    The lady in this case didn't care about €38,000, she was doing this mainly on principle ?

    On what basis was the case dismissed?

    Yes of course she's p***ed off bout having to pay the costs but she's to meet with her barrister again tomorrow. the judge just ruled case dismissed even though she had a witness and the driver admitted everything!! Suppose she just got a bad judge on the day!!

    Her barrister is probably happy to have got a pay cheque (from the lady) out of the whole thing.

    I had a black bus driver tonight and even though I could'nt understand him, he was a legend, dropped me home for the bartered price even though a lot of drivers would have told me to fúck off!!

    I remember I was running for bus but clearly wasn't going to make it and stopped. The (black) bus driver beeped me and gestured for me to keep going then waited at the stop for me to arrive, hero!

    Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

    If the bus was full of people she knew I would have thought she'd have more than one witness. I wonder did she go through any complaints process with Dublin bus or go straight to her solicitor.
