Yeh very good fight, interesting to see if it makes the main card. I think it probably will ahead of the Barry-Lavar fight as the UFC's phobia of finishes on Fox continues. Hope Diaz-Miller ends spectacularly though.

Is UFC on Fuel 1 on telly over here Wednesday night?

Was just about to ask the same, it's not listed on ESPN. Usually Gareth A. Davies and Zelanick are making a bit of noise when this happens but no mention of it on twitter.

I think it's just on ufc.tv this week, not 100% on that though.

Turns out ring girl Chandella Powell did some nude pics for a porn website a few years ago under her real name. They were on Joe Rogan's website today but have since been taken down. Doubt Fox will be happy with this.

If you wish to see said pics, googling her real name(Mariah Ashton) will wield results. Considering they were taken 4 years ago, I'm surprised nobody copped on to this until today.

What's it got to do with Fox?

Besides, its not like she's the first one to do nude pics. Arianny did playboy while she was working for the UFC. I haven't seen these pic, but i iamgien tis just nude shots and not beastality or anything.

That's true, but this is a legit porn site. There's some lesbian pics as well plus a video. Playboy is more legit and acceptable in a way as you can buy it in any newsagents. I'd say UFC would be behind her but would be worried about Fox and sponsors. It wouldn't be good for their image. Just speculating though.

Yeah, I get that they would want her doping it now. But she did it years before she was in the UFC. i just think its harsh if she gets sacked, or if Fox care about it much.

Don't hold me to it, but IIRC I saw Gareth A.Dickface retweet some dude saying that UFC aren't gonna show the card live, but they'll show a rerun on UFC.tv the following day.

Yep. It's on at 1am thursday morning on UFC.tv and it's repeated the following day. Not sure what time it's repeated at though. Maybe you'll be able to access it any time on UFC.tv??

    Long night indeed.

Would've been even longer had the original plan gone ahead, 2 PPVs in the same night. The one in Japan and one in Vegas

I never understand why Tim gets such a bad rap. Maybe because the way he stands is like a baby deer standing on ice. Either way he's gone 6 - 3 since leaving UFC which isn't "half" bad. Little joke there. He obviously wouldn't be up with the big hitters but I'd still consider he'd beat quite a large percentage of fighters at HW. Him against Big Country could be interesting.

  • Registered Users Posts: 635 ✭✭✭pauldoo

last time i seen him fight he was huge, way over 265, his spare tyre was hanging over his shorts, maybe if he had some proper training camps and was in shape he might be able to beat some of the lower level fighter, 80% is a big ask, so the 20% would maybe cain, jds, overeem, mir??? dont think he would take werdum, nelson, carwin, Kongo, & nog

    I've always disliked Tim.
I think he got by in alot of fights in the UFC by being big and unbelievably awkward rather than any abundance of talent. Also not a great representative of the sport in my opinion.

Ya have to respect his record and blah blah blah but personally he's probably my least favourite fighter.

Credit where it's due though, he has heart.

Pretty sure he's been well over 300 a good few times in those fights.

Smart move though. Dropping names like Struve will get some attention.

I don't think he's really doing anything wrong as long as he can back up his showboating, and it seems he can.
It's entertaining for the crowd and gives them their moneys worth. Kinda of reminds me of the stuff Roy Jones Jr used to do in the ring.

^ too much for my liking, would always be more impressed by a fighter going all out from the start, no time for that dancing in my book, go out and finish the fight.

I know nothing of the opposition but I presume it's quite low level, hope he learns some manners at the hands from a decent opponent, soon.

  • Registered Users Posts: 661 ✭✭✭Charlie3dan

Entertaining but I would also look forward to seeing him KTFO.

    Re: Tim hate

    it's a combination of things.

First of all, it doesn't help if you make videos directed at Internet Warriors saying "Why don't you like me??"

He just seems like a weird character. He used to walk around with the UFC belt around his waist when he was champion. I'm talking about getting up in the morning, putting his clothes on and wearing the belt all day. When he went to the shop to get milk, when he was at the petrol station filling his car, everything!

Also, he had a really bad time with injuries which changed him from one of the hardest warriors in the cage (remember how Mir broke his arm and he pleaded with Herb Dean to let him fight on with one arm?) to one of the most boring fighters around. he used to get in with the intention of not getitng into a fight and trying to eek out decisions (remember the Monson fight?)

These things together with all the other stupid little things he used to do outside the ring. For example, a few years ago when the PS3 first came out, Big Tim decided to buy one, sign the outside of the box and sell it for a profit.

I kinda feel sorry for him, but if you keep doing stupid things you're gonna get haters!

  • Registered Users Posts: 51,054 ✭✭✭✭Professey Chin

And then he walked straight out with his hands down and chin out against Ray Mercer :pac:
