Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey lads, went in today and checked out Kinect; thought i'd pass the word on.

    Impressions :
    - there's a 0.5 second delay from you doing an action to the avatar doing it. Probably doesn't sound like much but i'd imagine in any non-casual game it'd make a difference!

    - the movement is approximately correct although it'll not register some positions you do

    - much like Wii Boxing, if you're moving too fast (eg running) it'll only pick up ~half your strides

they had 2 games on show, running and a roller-coaster-carpet-ride thing where there's balloons and you have to move in position to hit them.

anyway check it out, see what ya think.

There's an official Kinect store on Grafton Street for a few weeks. It's got all 5 or so launch games, and Microsoft staff are there to answer any questions etc.

    It's beside McDonalds

So far Kinect Adventures (the one with the carpet balloons!) is the most impressive, I've managed to try Kinect on three occassions and this is the game that's always stood out to me. Most interesting is to notice the improvements, first time I tried was back in July and compared to the instore demo we had last week the difference is incredible. I still wait to get my own to properly try it out but my interest is constantly increasing!
