iPhone 4 Network Price Comparison's

    A lot of people like myself are debating which network is the best for the iphone 4- being o2, vodafone and 3. I went through the cost of running one for the 18 month contract that they all require for bill pay. I've not been involved with any network before as I am currently know meteor so there is no bias here but its my opinion that 3 are offering the best deal.

    1.) o2 are offering the 16GB iphone 4 for €259 on the €45 a month deal. This €45 includes 150 mins and 100 texts, 1GB data and free o2 to o2 calls and texts. For 18 months including cost of the phone itself, this adds up to €1069 for 2700 mins and 1800 texts and 18GB of data.

    2.) Vodafone are offering the 16GB iphone 4 for €249 on the €45 a month deal. This €45 includes 150 mins and 150 texts, 500mb of data and free vodafone to vodafone calls and texts or free to 5 friends. For the 18 months this adds up to €1059 for 2700 mins and 2700 texts and 9gb of data.

    3.) 3 are offering the 16GB iphone 4 for €219 on the €40 monthly plan. This €40 includes 350 flexi mins, which includes texts. 1 Flexi min = 2 texts. You also get free 3 to 3 mins and text, 2GB of data, and also a free extra which are quite substantial, such as 150 extra mins for anybody texts, USA or Europe dialling and many more. This works out for the year at €939 for 6300 Flexi mins, up to 2700 free mins if choose free texts to anybody, and also 36GB of Data.


    It is clear from the above info that 3 is offering the best overall package; cheapest phone as well as the cheapest most offering monthly plan. The question of who is the best service provider is a different matter.

    o2 for 18 mths: €1069/2700 mins/1800 texts/18gb data

    vodafone for 18 mths: €1059/2500 mins/2500 texts/ 9gb data

    3 for 18mths: €939/6300 mins/texts/36gb data.

    In fact, 3 even works out cheaper if you buy the 32GB iphone 4 on the same plan, costing you €1040 for 18 months. I know what choice im taking!!
