I'm sure we could make a thread out of this if we put our minds to it.

I don't believe in this thread

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

But how do you know it's the wrong forum? Is there a way you can have absolute knowledge that it is the wrong forum? No.

You can use empirical evidence by matching topics to forums and deduce a probability, but at base you are relying on a set of assumptions about the universe.

    Therefore, God exists.

It has been written that there will come a wrong forum.
The good book has proclaimed that the wrong forum is the right forum.
There shall be many who doubt-they will roast in fire ,when the time comes-and few who believe.
But the few who believe shall be blessed, the kingdom of the wrong forum shall be theirs till time and times are done.
    Amen.

    Subjectively or objectively wrong?

I insist that this thread is 6,000 years old, and was generated randomly.

Can you quantify this as being the wrong forum OP ?

Perhaps the OP knows it's the wrong forum from personal experience.

Guys it's ok, the reason he edited it was because he was "sorry".

People are just having fun, and anything directed at you is really for an abstract 'thread starter' for the sake of a joke, so don't take it personally or seriously.

I don't want to live in a world where this is the wrong forum.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,371 ✭✭✭✭Zillah

Threads cannot just pop into the wrong forum by random chance. If a thread was created then there has to be an intelligent thread creator.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,371 ✭✭✭✭Zillah

I have to believe that all those posts that I have made and loved and lost are in the right forum, and that I will see them again some day when I use the search function.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,353 ✭✭✭Goduznt Xzst

    wrong forum

You only believe that this is the wrong forum because your parents indoctrinated you during your childhood to believe that.

Ask yourself why it is you don't think every other forum is wrong, and you'll also understand why this forum isn't wrong either.

I saw the OP on my toast this morning.

    Therefore this thread exists.

With an understanding of how to read Genesis properly, it's quite clear that this is in fact the wrong forum.

But surely if he's not going to judge us and he lets us make up the rules we think he wants (or that our own prejudices influence) he's going to be pleased anyway
Thus, we should stay in this thread for as long as possible so long as we follow the rules he didn't make.

You're obviously not searching with an open heart. If you really WANT to find a delete thread option, seek and ye shall find! Instead of approaching it just assuming there isn't one.

That's how I came to find it. But I can't show you because you have to find it yourself.

If you had taken the trouble to educate yourself in ancient literature, you would know that the metre and chiasmus of the Forum Charter indicates that this is in fact the right forum.

Can you explain exactly why this forum is somehow 'wrong'? These were arbitrary rules conceived by primitive, superstitious boarders in the early internet age, four forum pages ago - how can you possibly apply them to the modern thinking of the Fourth Page?

(yes, I'm a bit late for the party, but i had to get my tuppence'orth in)

What difference does this 'modern thinking' make, the original rules concieved by the OP still stand no matter what.

That's because you are reading it literally.

The style of writing when that post was made was completely different. It is clearly a combination of prose, early poetry and metaphor.

I believe you'll find that the existential ponderances characterised by the utterances classified as being of the ego unequivocally delineate a peremptory and obdurate misconstruation of the quodlibet
