Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, Iv had my HTC Desire for a few months now and I have to say its a brill phone without any problems until now.. I live on the Border with NI and obviously it picks up quite a few northern networks but it seems recently everytime I go to make a call or someone calls me it changes straight to roaming during the call, its costing me a fortune! Is there any way I can change the network settings to Manual so it wont change, I cant seem to find any setting in the phone  Oh and I do usually have a signal on Vodafone IE im just not sure why it changes to UK!

Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Mobile Networks -> Network Operators -> Select Automatically, then just choose Vodafone IE

That is how you manually select a network. After doing this if you lose network signal your phone should tell you and then show you the available networks to choose from, but not select one automatically. I think it'll automatically reconnect to Vodafone IE though when the signal comes back.

It will still roam despite doing this though as it will view roaming as being on the Vodafone network just with a partner in another country.

I can knock together a simple app that will stop an outgoing call if you are roaming but that still doesn't fully solve the issue.

You will probably have to ring Vodafone and tell them you dont want roaming allowed, but then even this might not be an option seeing as you probably would like to roam in the north.
