Question about text wrapping in Excel 2007

    Hello,
could someone tell me how to turn the 'Auto row height' function off?

    My issue is as follows:

I input text to a single column of width 50. The text is wrapped where necessary and the row height is automatically expanded to make all the text visible.

However, I want to retain the initial row height even if the text in the cell changes. At the moment, when I edit the text, the row height automatically changes from the initial value (which is not what I want).

So, how can I wrap the text to give an initial row height that is retained even if the text in the cell subsequently changes?

    Thanks.

You mean you want the row height to always remain the same even if you input a large amount of text?

The initial input will always be the maximum amount of text. Thereafter, any changes will only reduce the amount of text in the cell. So I want to fix the row height based on the initial input.

    Thanks.
