Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

    Bit of a long one:o

I'm looking to change my phone to one of the above. I'm currently on vodafone simply plan and pay about €25 per month. I'm a talker/emailer not a texter and most of my family and friends are also on vodafone.

I have been offered an upgrade to the desire for €179.99, if I switch to Perfect Choice Access Plus 150 @ a minimum of €45 per month and an 18 month contract.

However, on Amazon I can get the desire and z without contract for €445 and €490. If I get an data addon for €10 it still works out at about €35 and no long term contract.

    Not sure what to do?

Anyway what is the difference between the desire and the z, if I get an original desire, updated to 2.2 android and 2.0 sense? (apart from qwerky keyboard)

    Thanks

    Tap

The Desire Z has a dedicated camera button which is a plus in my book. It also has a flip-out keyboard, and drops the four buttons (Home, Menu, Search, Back) for touch-sensitive buttons under the LCD display and a bigger optical trackpad button.

The Desire has none of these features and they're ones that I would really want in a phone.

Don't forget the Desire HD either, which has a larger screen (4.3" instead of 3.7"), a better CPU (1GHz vs 800MHz clock speed), a better camera (8MP, 3264×2448 pixels with autofocus, dual-LED flash vs 5 MP, 2592x1944 pixels, autofocus, LED flash), weighs slightly less (by 26g), has 256MB more RAM but does have a shorter battery life.
