Is it a prerequisite for all fast food employees to get your order wrong?

I'm just back from McDonald's in Maynooth and once again they left one item out and gave me something I didn't order.
1 large quarter pounder meal with a coke.
    2 large fries.
    6 nuggets.
    1 hamburger.

For some reason, I was given an extra large fries instead of the hamburger.
Yeah. The hamburgler stole it. wooooooo.

The order is on the till in front of them.
How ****ing dumb do you have to be to get this wrong?

Every time I go there, they get at least one thing wrong.
What is wrong with these people?

Before anyone goes blaming the foreigners, most of those behind the till tonight were Irish.

Its so effective that I never have to start a thread on the failings of the Fast Food sector....

I'd imagine it has something to do with them not caring about their job?

The 'Pro Wrestling' mod thinks the people who heat up dirt and serve it to people dumb enough to eat hot dirt are dumb.

I like it. I like it alot.

Maybe the person that served you did it on purpose?

He probably has a chip on his shoulder.

I only go to mcdonalds once or twice a year and would never leave without checking they gave me the correct order.

I use the drive thru and just sit there till I check it's all there and correct.

No. My friend was quite upset at the lack of a hamburger. Especially since he had driven my drunk ass up there.
You eat McDonalds' food and you think the staff there are retarded?
I don't like your implication that I'm retarded.

    I am always polite.

The 'Pro Wrestling' mod thinks the people who heat up dirt and serve it to people dumb enough to eat hot dirt are dumb.

I like it. I like it alot.
Another post implying that I'm dumb. It really lacks style though.
And using the Pro Wrestling angle to boot. For shame.
I hope that you realise that at least once a week, someone tries to rile me up by making a veiled insult using the fact that I'm a PW mod. It never works.

I can always look at that person's history on this site. They are generally people I have banned from one forum or another at some point, and still hold a grudge. Their bitterness makes me laugh.

The McDonalds in Killarney is pretty bad too. I stopped going there, because in two orders out of five they would leave something out of the bag.

It's not that difficult not to **** up orders, I worked there during my teens.

Ah memories of when I used to work in mcd :(
    Didn't get any orders wrong.
You'd be surprised how well your memory can work when you have 5 people waiting on different orders and managers yelling to keep taking orders regardless of food being ready

Pfft, quitter. Obviously you should still keep going and just add to this thread everytime they mess up an order.....

...then maybe after a year send the thread to the manager and you might get a free big mac or something?

Mate, its McDonalds! If you continue to eat that crap your brain will atrophy and youll end up just like them.

How do you think they get employees? Do you think they want to be there?

Next time i hope Ronald Mc Donald jumps the counter and pins you for ten! Ding Ding! The Light Heavy Weight Nugget Belt goes to Ronald-Rampage-Mc Donald!!! And the crowd goes wild!!! And you settle for an unHappy Meal.

I don't think it's just fast food employees though to be fair... regularly happens around all food service, including sit down restaurants.

It probably happens slightly more with fast food places though cos the employees are often also in college/school and tired or hungover.

Might seem even more prevalent with fast food because you eat it more often.

Our local Chinese were bastids for it. We used to get it delivered at least twice a week and it got to the stage where we'd not let the delivery man leave til we checked the order.

See, I don't really mind not so great employess in the likes of fast food as it's relatively cheap and the worst that could happen is you're not that happy with some food.

It's bad employees in a place where you're getting goods or service and you're paying a decent amount and it's something very particular. For instance, bad employees in an optician, or a bad car mechanic, I find much more annoying.

I don't think chicken nuggets should be bitter, you want to check they didn't do something to them...though fizzy lemonade makes me laugh too sometimes when the bubbles go up my nose!
