    Hi

I am looking for somewhere nice to eat for an evening next week. we will be at a graduation in Letterkenny and was thinking that Ballybofey may be a bit quieter for somewhere to go for a meal afterwards.

    Anyone got any suggestions??

    thanks!

I shop up in ballybofey a few times but i wouldn't know alot about eating out there.

From what i hear. Any of the following:

    Zafran
    Kees Hotel
    Jacksons Hotel
    Villa Rose
    New Indian in Stranorlar
Some new place opened up in ballybofey also I don't know what its called.

It can be a very quiet town mid week though what night are you thinking on?

I'd say that's probably the 'Surf & Turf' just up from McElhinney's. The grub is good there, but you can't go far wrong with the Villa Rose in my opinion.

Friends of mine were recently dining in Villa Rose, and reckon it's very good.

Villa Rose is excellent. Not cheap though.

Go 20 minutes down the road to Clady.
    Excellent food in Smugglers Inn.
Surf and Turf in Ballybofey though if eating anywhere.

Oh I loooooove the Smugglers! Great interesting grub. Think Surf and Turf is run by the same crowd.
