Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The only series' worth watching are Walking Dead and Breaking Bad.
If you watch anything else you've too much time on your hands :-P

Criminal Minds is good but it's plenty silly, they seem to have jurisdiction everywhere and that computer Garcia has seems to have some sort of super futuristic google on it where you can even find out if Urban hucklebucked to the kitchen for food or not.

    On IMDB the scores are:

    Criminal Minds - 8.2
    Luther - 8.6
    The Shield - 8.6
    The Wire - 9.5
    Breaking Bad - 9.4

    The public have spoken.... :)

Are you seriously using 'the public' as a barometer for quality???

Do you mean as we live democracy? ;) I know what you are saying but women I know that watch X Factor, Strictly Come Dancing and that tripe don't watch these types of programmes.

I had already stated those four were better than Criminal Minds and it seems public opinion agrees.

Voted for bush? You think his two victories werent rigged?

Anyone have a horse tracker and then don't back the intended horse?

I had one horse going today, i've only a few horses i've been tracking but just couldn't back this horse today after him running so badly lately so decided to back something else instead in the race and guess what, the horse i backed finished 2nd beaten by the horse in my tracker! F**K You Thunderball 20 to bloody 1.

Note to self: Never go against your tracker, you put them there for a reason!

I've said it before but I mean it now. I'm using betfair from now on. Back a horse at Dundalk tonight at 8/1 when it's 10/1 on betfair. Drifts to 21/1 on betfair sp, I get 10/1.**** that. I know it wouldn't have been gauranteed but should have waited and watched the market

    Did it win?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,335 ✭✭✭✭UrbanSea

Yeah, but at half of the betfair price. The most annoying this is when it experiences a huge drift on BF and goes out about a point in the bookies.

Backed the Snuffler(loser) at Thurles yesterday at 25/1 in the bookies when it was 23/1 on BF. Sp on BF was about 45/1, 20/1 bookies

Does anyone know why the English handicapper always gives Irish horses higher marks running over there

There was a time a few years ago when the Irish would send over a well handicapped horse over to England and mop up there big handicaps and i think the British trainers lost it with the handicapper saying the Irish were getting to lenient a mark so i was told anyway!

The first horse that came to my mind was Fethard Lady when i seen that comment i don't know why but what a great horse that could have been if staying clear of injury!

There is nothing worse than the feeling you have been done out of your money. It is pocket talk but the ride giving to Dmitar tonight at Dundalk(6:30)was nothing short of tender to say the least. The winner came from behind him in last place but i will definitely look out for him next time he runs. Don't particularly like backing Eddie Lynam's horses but thought he'd have a chance tonight with the record they have at Dundalk but just felt he was never given a race whatsoever tonight, frustrating when it happens

Yes it was Ascot the 30th October 2010 4.15.

Just looked at it again on ATR site and it really does take the biscuit, didn't McCririck or Chapman or someone on TV make allegations of a non trier and got lambasted for doing so

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,335 ✭✭✭✭UrbanSea

Think it was Alastair Downs about two weeks later said to him in an interview that a lot of people weren't happy with the ride you gave it and McCoy was his usual contrary self

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,335 ✭✭✭✭UrbanSea

Aw man I just watched that again. No wonder I was so so so pissed off at the time.

Just watched it, fairly blatant alright. Could have won that handy.

Got to say i love Luke Harvey and Jason Weaver on Get In. There just having fun and it's a little bit of entertainment in between races and good to see some old racing on the show. Remember Curley giving Luke and McCririck a right going over on Youtube aswell great entertainment never seen McCririck go so quiet so quickly when Barney tells him off!

Don't know if GMOOH would have won that race but would certainly have been closer

It's disgraceful this day and age this still continues.
What's even worse is you hear some trainers hint on pre-race interview that some horses are only out there to get around!
