All the premier league games 0-0 at half time. It can be one of the most boring leagues in the world at times.

The inexplicable push seems to be coming in the usual direction. Reckon we might see 5/4 DNB tomorrow. I'll probably just lay however, hold off until 5 mins before kick off or so

2.18 on Betfair DNB, I might have stepped too soon but going on hols tomorrow so couldn't spend the day watching Oddschecker! Pinnacle had been 2.19 before the Chelsea game on Monday

On an unrelated note Odell's Cuthroat Porter is a delightful tipple.

I'm guessing Italy isn't renowned for its stouts/porters so getting a few in before tomorrow!

Home and not too pissed. Some serious pints of guinness around the Stoneybatter area.

Up and atom tomorrow early doors for Liverpool V scum and on into Croker for the Dubs. Savage weekend so far.
    Off Monday too :-)

Have taken to walking home from a night out now. Good for sobering you up but it's poorly lit

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,669 ✭✭✭Colonel Sanders

The gamble on Liverpool continues. The prices are now saying that there's less between them than the market on Monday was saying there is between Utd & Chelsea (and that's assuming you buy that Chelsea are superior). I'm happy with my DNB price but went in too soon

    5/4 with Coral

Think Betfair are charging reduced commission on Asian handicaps so you might do better off scratch there

Colonel can you explain Asian handicaps, I never got them.

    Mobile site but should work:

    http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asian_handicap

Main advantage is reduced over round, bookies bet to tighter margins & usually take bigger bets

Liverpool are also 19.5 to win the league

The year they actually do win it people like me will have serious egg on their faces but punters will have gone broke by then

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,016 ✭✭✭Hulk Hands

I can't actually believe it. How does this keep happening? Who in their right mind can be lining money up at under 6/4 and think it's a good bet?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,335 ✭✭✭✭UrbanSea

Why oh why isn't Kagawa on

    Thirsty Thursday......

Drank way way way too much tonight.

It's cheaper to buy beer here than coke (cola).

And at €13.50 for a bottle Tanqueray its hard not to be F*cked up ALL the time.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,451 ✭✭✭Overthelast

Not a gin man myself ( yet) but you must have tried Gordons? I stay well clear of diaego products.

Gordons is the prime example of a very poor product that is thriving simply because of advertising. I think it tastes awful.

Tanqueray and more recently Hendricks are my gin of choice.

If you can get your hands on a bottle of Tanqueray No.10 then do it do it. More expensive but worth it although it then diminishes you enjoyment of other gins.

Stuff like Bombay Sapphire and Gordons survive due to advertising alone. Piiss in a bottle.

But Bombay Sapphire is a class above Gordons. Comparing those 2 is chalk and cheese.

But nothing beats a quality scotch at the end of a hard day. Now that's heaven in a glass.

For any of you interested in the hurling, PP are offering Clare at 7/4 to win (in 70 mins, of course) on Sunday. This is a "While Stocks Last" offer and is limited to €100 per customer. Absolutely amazing value (I thought Laddies' 11/8 was great value!) but probably won't last very long. BTW, you can lay Clare on Betfair right now @ 5/4 (2.26)!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

    I hope Limerick destroy Clare.
I ****ing despise that Davy Fitz knacker. I hope he's spotted crying his eyes out on Sunday.

Not a hope in hell's chance that Limerick will beat Clare on Sunday.

I'd generally be impartial to the result any other day, but not with Fitz in charge of Clare now.
