l'm going to throw a few quid on 0-0 at 19/2

Edit slattsy beat me to it,,19/2 vc bet or 9/1 skybet

Two slightly different bets though, if you back the no goalscorer and the only goal/s is/are an OG you still get paid

I'd generally be impartial to the result any other day, but not with Fitz in charge of Clare now.

What happened Droidy. Al Kazeem(if it rains)/ Lethal Force double will save the weekend. ;)

Im not joking when i say this, but i am twice the player of Glenn Whelan.
How on earth he gets picked for Stoke and Ireland is astounding.

Colombia won again last night, I've 125/1 for the World Cup. Guaranteed at least a play off now & should qualify automatically

They play You Are Gay away mid week.

Was my first time watching Colombia last night, I think they must have had an off night! They were poor enough, probably after the red card for Ecuador they went 1-0 up they were in cruise control but they were lucky not to draw. Ecuador missed a penalty, judging by Colombia's results they will be a threat at the World Cup along with Belguim. The talent in Belguim absolutely ridiculous!

No goals 8/1. Thats my kinda bet right there :)

Cork lads are bottling this, cant even do the simple stuff right.

Nothing worse than a bottler in any sport.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

Cork going in 2 points down is a miracle, ref has given some very soft free's.

Cork cant play any worse, so they may just win. Hopefully.

Looking at the games for Tuesday, anyone else think NI look a lump job at odds against v Luxemburg

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

Luxembourg are decent ish on a going day.
    Who's at home?

Luxemburg are poor, 3 draws and no wins in the group. NI gave Portugal a proper run for their money and beat Russia. Luxemburg are home

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

    Luxembourg win.

Betfair market was very very slow to be acted upon. Clare equalized and the draw was still available at 5 for about 5 seconds and then evens. Match blew up and you still had 1.42 the draw but only for 7 quid for another 5

    NI away are terrible.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,335 ✭✭✭✭UrbanSea

Are you just saying this to sound knowledgeable or did you look at their form, draws to Malta and Portugal away aren't terrible. Would be more worried of a draw because they don't score much away

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,957 ✭✭✭kksaints

Northern Ireland had 2 players sent off on Friday so I would say they are suspended also Northern Ireland only drew with Luxemburg in Windsor Park.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,335 ✭✭✭✭UrbanSea

    Forgot about the sendings off

I've a lot of friends that live in Lux and i know they're confident of winning.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

A draw away to Malta is terrible. I'll give you Portugal.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,335 ✭✭✭✭UrbanSea

That Malta game was actually a friendly I can be more forgiving. Doing a bit of research, NI had 3 disallowed goals and hit the post when they drew with Luxemburg at home conceding in the 86th minute.
Chris Brunt is a big loss Luxembourg coming from the back of a hammering in Russia

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

I always go with the home team in games involving **** teams. Safe.

Ah I'll see. Going to the Ireland and Germany under 21 game tomorrow night in the Showgrounds, should be decent

Armenia at 9/5 could be a decent bet tomorrow against Denmark. The Danes are nothing special and Armenia have some decent results in the last few years including a 4-0 victory over the Danes earlier in the campaign and a recent win over the Czech Republic. They have thrown in some stinkers aswell (They lost to Malta at home) but I think it could be a decent bet.

What did McClean do wrong on Friday?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,335 ✭✭✭✭UrbanSea

Is he dropped, thought he was the best player

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

    I know.
Pilkington in to replace him. Shocking stuff.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,335 ✭✭✭✭UrbanSea

Awful. McCarthy shaded it from Whelan for the worst performance the other night

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,172 ✭✭✭NaiveMelodies

Would be the kind of game we might win, Austria have all the pressure on them, win and theyve a great chance of playoff, could easily freeze.

I agree that Belgium have a talented side on paper, but they're quickly becoming the mug punt of next year's world cup. Everyone always supports a fashionable alternative for these tournaments and they go off stupid odds. Already Belgium are shorter than Italy and Holland which is wrong, but I suspect they'll go off something ludicrous like 10/1 come next June, and you'll have the likes of Spain going at 8's
