How are business long questions marked for say 15 mark questions and 30 mark questions? I've been told it's three marks for each point with each point having been stated, explained and illustrated. Is that right? So a 30 mark question would have ten points each stated, explained and illustrated for full marks?

Extremely unfairly. Read the marking schemes and then try to gauge from their but the subject does have the worst marking scheme in the whole LC.

More sporadic than the distribution of stars in the sky. Its a feckin pain in the arse.

Divide each number of marks by 5 to get the number of points usually, but this differs from question to question sometimes! It's a real pain in the ass alright Like for ABQ's you'll get at least a mark for refernce to the text, and sometimes there will be exactly seven points needed and they will be your points e.g if your asked for the stages in marketing a new product, its centered around seven stages, if it going for 35 marks you'll get 5 marks per stage.

We are told to divide the marks by 5 to get how many points we need. So each point is worth 5 marks (20 marks = 4 points etc).. The 5 points is then broken into 2 + 3. 2 for the heading and then 3 for 2 pieces of information.
