Should I buy now or wait?

    Hi folks. I'm planning on buying the HTC Desire and I'm just wondering; should I buy it now or wait until the Desire HD comes out?

    I'm thinking that the Desire will drop in price when it's HD counterpart becomes available; is this likely or just wishful thinking? If likely, when would you think it would drop in price? If not then I guess I'll just have to get it anyway:p

    Im in the same boat, holding off on my purchase even though i crave a smartphone.
    Vodaphone have said it will be available in 2 weeks, i emailed Three and was told
    "Currently, we are unable to comment on a date for the release of the HTC Desire HD on our network. Updates about the same would be made available on our website (www.three.ie).
    "
    So basically they don't know, they will have to stock it though to remain competitive.
    Im personally going to wait, No point buying into obsolete technology. It cant be that much dearer considering it still has to compete with the Iphone 4 and Samsung Galaxy S. And for the sake of two weeks, the regular model will have to drop in price if its to remain attractive.

    I'm getting into a business where a smartphone would really help; but even if I wasn't I'd want one anyway:D

    I was planning on waiting for it as well. Hope it comes out soon; I'm dying to get one.
