Confirmed Workshops on the day are .......

In the Studio with Phil Byrne (MISK/Splitloop)
    and
In the Studio with Barry Dempsey (Monad/Virtu Studios)

Splitloop are the group who, infamously, met on the bus in Ireland going to a Prodigy gig back in the day. Finding they had more in common than just a love of Liam Howlett's beats, Phil and Bren formed an enduring partnership that's rocketed them high into the breakbeat premier league. Naming themselves after one of their first productions together, the guys started making a name for themselves with early releases on the acclaimed Sinister label. It was the 'KFC' release on Against The Grain, Krafty Kuts' label, that really made their name on the breaks scene, though, and led to them signing to the leading breakbeat label that also boasts The Freestylers, Deekline & Wizard, Ed Solo & Skool Of Thought and more

Arveene & Misk are a Dublin duo creating some of the biggest waves in underground dance music right now. Over the past years they've clocked up nearly 30 genre-busting remixes for the likes of The Prodigy, Mr.Oizo, Felix Da Housecat, Kitsuné, Zombie Nation, Ed Banger, Gung Ho!, Turbo, Bang Gang and many more.

    Barry Dempsey
Liberties Dublin born DJ Producer Barry Dempsey has been turning out some top quality remixes for Monad Music recently but it’s been a quite while since we’ve had an original piece of work from this highly talented producer. It’s been well worth the wait because Aukstin is a superb example of prime time uplifting Tech House.

When a release has such a strong original version, most often the remixers aren't able to re-create the same musical magic; but Barry Dempsey proves otherwise here. Barry comes strong out of the gates, introducing the main synth line from the original very quickly; slicing it up a bit, to add a little flavor. The main infrastructure of Demspey's remix is more stripped down, but he adds enough subtle sweeps and hits to fill things out and make his remix a contender for peak-hour play. For those into a less-melodic, more punch fueled style of tech house, this is for you. Amazing work.
