Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My friend has to sign on for the first time tommorrow morning in the dole office in Cork city. He's a bit nervous about it because he doesnt know what to do and it usually seems pretty packed. Do you have to get a ticket number issued to you before you go to your hatch or do you just que up at the hatch that is assigned to you.

Hi, no ticket needed, he just needs to queue for his relevant hatch. Normally hatch 1 (people with A-C surnames) usually has the longest queue.

If his sign-on time is early, I'd recommend getting to the social welfare office either well before it opens at 9.30am (so he doesn't have to queue right down the street) or else 10ish (when queues seem to be shorter).

Just remind him to bring his social welfare card (and photo ID just in case).

How long would the ques be usually. Hes got to be in for 9:30 afaik. Would he be able to turn up at 11am or is that too late?

Sorry Hogzy, a little late with reply! Hope all went well for your friend today and he wasn't waiting too long.
