Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've been looking for this file everywhere online and can't find it.

My creative stopped working a while ago and this error message came up

The application has failed to start because MSCAT32.dll was not found

I've tried looking online and not a thing has come up can someone help please?

What Creative product is it. Did you try their own support site? Or if you have the disk can you not just reinstall?

You should be able to download the full suite of software (or drivers) from here,

    Creative Vision M

have reinstalled the the creative stuff and it's nothing to do with that. The creative will still be recognised on other devices

Sorry to ask but did you reboot after you uninstalled, reinstalled? Windows is very persnickety about rebooting after software changes.

Anyways I found the following (not really sure if this is legit).

    http://www.topdll.com/download/mscat32.dll?q=e1ad7022d9cf77015dc87636393ca35f

The only other link I found mentioning that .dll is this.

    HI All,

I have scanned thru all the posts up to here and have a useful tidbit of info that may help MaLa users:

If you remove Windows Media Player from your MAME-XP then videos on MaLa will not work!

I found this out the hard way, however all was not lost as I was able to manually install WMP9 and now videos DO work in MaLa. The install process failed as it wasn't able to find MSCAT32.DLL, so I simply copied it across from C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 and then re-ran the install and it worked.

It makes me wonder whether simply copying the DLL file would have done the trick but it's too late for me to try that now!!!

    I hope this info helps.

    Found these too.

Just wondering do you have "hidden files and folders" unchecked in folder options. Just that it wouldn't pick up that file if it was in system32.

Cool! Now just in case those dll's were in any way dodgy (didn't look like it from the sites.....but just as a precaution, cos I haven't used those sites before). Update your anti virus! :D
