Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Nice shots Mountainandheather

In fact I think, having read wikipedia,
that shot 53 may be a BOKEH

    :eek::eek:

    so you a Bokehist :P

Actually Keps, I kind of thought 54 (shot #2, with the light "bubbles") would have been the bokeh one ?
I don't know whether to be honoured or embarrassed to be called a Bokehist :):o. Was just trying my new 1.8/50mm lens, and I did enjoy the Dof and got a bout of bokeh madness for a bit. It's dangerous !

Feel maybe I should be a teenage Emo or a (male) moustachioed nerdy american (no offence intented to our American, teenage, or hairy friends, I swear :)).

Thank, I thought it wasn't the best quality, shot on a canon IXUS 85.
When ISO is higher then 200 it get grainy. Did use a small stool as a tripod though, hence the low angle.

The voting lines are now closed:)

Greetings from Belfast where I’m working this week!

Thanks to all who took the time to enter – the overall standard was very high – and I think the contrast between the ‘serene’ Autumn photos and the more ‘in your face’ Halloween shots worked very well.

The winner of the assignment with 25 votes is Cork_girl with her super and atmospheric shot of the Grand Canal in Autumn light.

Adrian Sadlier came 2nd (21 votes) after a late heave (if I can use that expression) with his very original ‘sick pumpkin’ shot.
He just ‘pipped’ Leche Solara’s handsome squirrel photo which finishes third(20 votes)

Well done indeed Cork_girl and I am looking forward to your next assignment. The stage is yours!

Thanks again to everyone who entered

Well done Cork_Girl what a deserving pic !
The sick pumpkin was a brilliant idea too, got to remember that next year ;).

I am just looking back over that assignment and the photos people contributed.

It was just brialliant cos you could feel the enthusiasm and energy and the will to impress in every single shot

I am totally proud of all the people who submitted a photo.

What's your 4th edit going to be? I'm not arguing but I'm sick to the teeth with you thinking you have control or authority over the challenge forums. They've become so regimented and boring in my opinion. You take this way too seriously.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks this either.

Well you wont have to worry about me anymore Pete.

You can have the playground to yourself.

If you were about here long enough you might know the lie of the land, but a noob sauntering by might get the wrong impression.
Don't get the wrong impression from me though, I'm not suggesting to stop the discussion or participation and I'm not looking to get between the beautiful relationship that Pete & Keps have :) - Perhaps it’s just over-enthusiasm, which can be a good thing, but might just need a little more subtlety... ?

Edit: On second reading my post seems a little ambiguous - Just for the record, I was (somewhat) agreeing with Pete

I think Keps might be a little over zealous about the challenge forums, so what theres no harm in it.....but come off it, it someone on the internet is annoying you this much then your the one taking this way too seriously....Chillax man!

IMO with forms, a leader some what always appears, this is also related to group work. I think it's great to see this section being kept ticking over. So I wouldn't be so quick to knock it. A few months ago this section was kinda dead IMO. Now it's very active again.

    Less drama more photos.
